It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of 145 Firefighter Bob Jones, 64, of Elizabeth Township who died on September 17, 2017. He lived his life dedicated to service to his community, and he was always there to help when needed.

Station-145 is making advancements with it's River Rescue operations. The first phase of this advancement will be the replacement of our existing River Rescue Boat, Boat-145. We have received state grant money towards the purchase of a new Zodiac ERB inflatable water rescue boat.

On Sunday we held our annual Car, Truck, and Bike Cruise at Buena Vista Volunteer Fire Company. It was another huge success with over 200+ cars attending the event. There were a lot of beautiful vehicles that covered the entire grounds.

It's with great sadness the Buena Vista Volunteer Fire Comapany reports the loss of a Life Member and past Chief. Mark S. Burnsworth, 50, of Mt. Vernon, died on April 9, 2011. Mark served his community as an active fire fighter and Assistant Chief of our company for many years.

Santa was around the Buena Vista and Mt. Vernon areas today on the BVVFC Fire Equipment. Kids were greeted by santa and given treat bags from the fire company. Yet again the event was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came out to help and to those who helped make the treat bags!!!

Despite the gloomy weather we had Sunday, the Buena Vista V.F.C. annual Car, Truck, & Bike show was a success. Despite a smaller than average turn out (due to weather), everyone had a great time! Many thanks to all the volunteers who participated in making this event yet another successful one...

Station 145 recieved 9 new exercise machines today. These machines were genorously donated by The Jefferson Regional Medical Center Rehab Center. All Station 145 Personnel would like to thank those that made this possible.
