Today family, friends, and fellow firefighters said goodbye to our brother firefighter Mark S. Burnsworth. Mark was a former Assistant Chief with Company 145, a Life Member and a selfless dedicated firefighter.

16:30 Station-145 was alerted to a possible dryer fire on Narragansett Drive in Mt. Vernon. ESU-145 responded immediately with 3 and Engine-145 followed with 2. (Both units were returning from a previous call).

07:09 Station-145 was activated for a Residential Structure Fire at 570 Weigles Hill Rd. in Elizabeth Township. E-145 responded with 3 to assist Station-142. E-147 arrived on scene reporting heavy smoke in the area and confirmed a bedroom fire.

20:20 Station-145 was alerted to a residential structure fire on Princess Drive. Engine-145 responded with 4. Engine-145 layed 5 inch hose in for water supply. ESU-145 responded with 2 to provide air and water.

Station 145 was alerted for a possible electrical fire in a structure. Engine 145 responded with a crew of 4. E-143 arrived on scene first and confirmed a residential structure fire. E-145 proceeded into the scene and sent its manpower to E-143.

18:31 Station-145 was activated for a Motor Vehicle Accident at 2300 Greenock-Buena Vista Rd., near Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Elizabeth Township. Police reported no entrapment, no injuries, and no hazards to all incoming units.
02:37 Station-145 was activated for a Residential Fire Alarm activation at 308 Mohawk Dr. in Mt. Vernon. Lieutenant-145 responded directly to the scene as dispatch was reporting false activation from the alarm company.

17:32 Station-145 was activated for Emergency Stand-by for Severe Weather. Several reported lines down and trees down, Engine-145 investigated and notified the proper utilities.
13:58 Station-145 was activated for a report of something burning in a structure. Engine-145 responded with Elizabeth Township units and investigated the structure. A minor electrical condition was found and no fire.
10:44 Station-145 was activated for a Commercial Structure Fire at 550 McKeesport Rd. in Elizabeth Township - Wagner's Cafe. Engine-145 responded with Elizabeth Township units and found an electrical condition with an overhead exhaust fan.

21:10 Station-145 was activated for a Commercial Fire Alarm at 620 Boston Hollow Rd., Cross Creek Inn. Lieutenant-145 on scene reported a false alarm from cooking food. All units were canceled and cleared.
